The President arrived in Manila at 10 a.m. on Wednesday after he visited the UAE, where he separately met with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler of Abu Dhabi, and Vice President and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai.

In a recorded video message posted upon his arrival, Marcos said his “short but highly productive visit” to the UAE was in commemoration of the 50 years of “very strong, friendly, and rapidly progressing” diplomatic ties between the two nations. —Julie M. Aurelio
